We hope each person who walks into WVC will connect in some way to the folks who call this their church home and ultimately become connected in a relationship with Jesus. In the process of increasing connection over time, the goal is for spiritual growth to occur. A key part of growth is beginning to serve and continued growth comes through service. Ideally, growth continues and our lives become increasingly focused on an audience of One, Jesus, to the extent that we intentionally share the Gospel with all whom we encounter as we live out our lives each day, and to go to or invite people for the purpose of evangelism.
Where does it all start? With getting connected.
Whether you want to dive right in, or just want to observe from the sidelines for now, you are welcome to visit us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 in the main sanctuary for singing and biblical teaching. Dress is casual. We sing a mix of hymns and praise songs, with a mix of instruments. We follow a general structure but not a strict liturgy. We celebrate communion once each month. Children up to mid-grade school stay for singing and go to children's church just before the sermon. A nursery is also available.
A potluck Fellowship follows the worship service at around noon on Sunday. Feel free to join in, regardless of whether you brought anything! Here is where you have a chance to meet and get to know some of the folks who call WVC their church home.
Another step toward getting connected is becoming a MEMBER. Click hear to read more.
More about getting connected
By Connect, we mean that God invites each person into a loving relationship with Him. God loves you and wants you to love him and develop a relationship with him. By connecting with God through corporate and private worship, you get to know and enjoy God.
How we connect: One way is worship. Offering praise and adoration to God through corporate and private worship. Corporate worship shows unity with His family and provides an opportunity for us to hear God-inspired speakers who teach us what we need to know to follow Jesus effectively. Worship is a place where the wonders of Christ are proclaimed and people are invited to encounter God. In private worship, we can truly set apart time for God and for the rejuvenation of our whole selves. A beginning step could be investing 7 minutes each day in reading the Bible and in prayer in order to connect with God. Do you have 7 minutes?
